Accommodation

The Iron Range cabins, provide comfortable accommodation facilities for both corporate and tourist visitors.
The cabins are located 5 kilometres west of the Lockhart River Township, and are situated next door to the historic Lockhart River Aerodrome.

The Iron range cabin complex consists of 10 studio cabins and 3 X 2 bedroom units, all cabins are fully self contained, and we also cater for handicapped visitors with a handicapped unit setup to meet their requirements in respect to wheelchair and impaired mobility access.

Reception Hours

Reception hours are 8.00am till 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Catering

Evening meals are available Monday to Thursday, to enquire about catering please contact the Iron Range Cabins reception.

Our reception area sells basic items such as barbecue packs, frozen bread, toiletries, snacks, drinks and some canned goods. There is a general store in Lockhart River that sells most items, including fuel, milk, fruit and vegetables..

Laundry

There is a coin operated washer and dryer in our laundry. An iron and board is available on request. Washing powder is available to purchase from our reception area

Rates

Below are the prices for 2008. These prices are a guide and are subject to change.

$145 per night for studio cabin
$195 per night for 2 bedroom cabin
All the above prices include GST
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars

Deposit to secure booking
Stays less than 7 days - 1night deposit required at time of booking
Stays of 7 days or greater - 33% of total fee required at time of booking

Check-in Times:

Check-in is at 2.00pm unless otherwise arranged.
Cabins are to be vacated by 10.00am unless otherwise arranged.

All room reservations must be guaranteed. We accept Master Card, Bankcard and Visa . All payments must be made in Australian dollars. In addition to credit cards for payment, we accept cash, and company cheques with proper identification prior to check-in.

Cancellations

Because the Iron Range Cabins are a small Motel, with heavy demand for accommodation, reservations cancelled on short notice affect us significantly.

Subsequently, our Cancellation Policy is;
Notice of Cancellation received 7 to 10 days prior to check-in, will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
Notice of cancellation received within 7 days of check-in, will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Note

The single cabin room rate is only for 2 people but the cabins will accommodate 3 people on a double bed and pull out sofa, every extra person will incur a $30 charge per night.
